It began with three young men.Three talented dancers named George Velasquez, Fernando Avila, and Diamond Rivera decided that they wanted to pursue careers in dance. These boys were salsa dancers for an extended period of time and ultimately wanted to continue dancing after they left high school. The idea came up to start a professional dance group so that they could continue a passion and love they all shared....their love for salsa! They were all very determined and put forth all their combined effort into making what would eventually become East Side Edition (a.k.a. E.S.E) Starting wasn't easy, but they did whatever it took to establish themselves as a professional group and make a name for themselves. They chose the song "El Cumbanchero" by Ismael Rivera and began to practice relentlessly. After countless hours of hard work they accomplished their first task in choreographing their own routine. Their debut performance was on October 11th, 2008 and they entered the salsa/mambo community with a bang! Ever since then they have continued to perform throughout the five boroughs and have flourished. Though having a successful start, they continue to work hard and put all of their heart and soul into every practice and performance. East Side Edition is the new edition to the dance world, and also a new look into the new generation of dancers. East Side Edition will continue to show that they belong. As they have all said...."Salsa Is A Way Of Life"!
